This is my wonderful husband, our 2 crazy dogs Zoey and Max and, myself!
James and I recently got married and are having the time of our lives! We got married on our 5 year anniversary and while we are slightly biased, in our opinion had the best wedding ever!
Because we intend to share our life's journey through our blog, we found it fitting to share photos of our home. While we know that our style, may not be everyone's style. We hope that you will be able to take the DIY and Decorating concepts and apply them to your own home!
James and I are currently renting a 3 level town home north of Philadelphia. We are working hard to pay off debt to better position ourselves to purchase a home in the near future (5 year plan) Because of that, were limited to the types of updates we can do. HOWEVER in my opinion. . . they are the best kind of updates because anyone and everyone can do these while making a HUGE impact on a SKINNY wallet!
As you follow our crazy adventures a 3 things we should share with you upfront.. . .
1. We RARELY pay full price for anything! A home should tell a story, not be monochromatic beige box or look like you bought an entire living room set from a furniture store (lamps, pillows, rugs included in the deal) Craigslist, dumpsters, Goodwill, antique stores, flea markets etc are your friend!
2. If you don't love it, either get rid of it or redo it! Life is too short to have your home filled with big or small things that you don't love! At the end of a long day, you should be surrounded by the things that make you happy (after all they are just THINGS) and your friends and family! Ain't no body got time for ugly furniture and decor!
3. We are REAL people, who have real jobs, relational struggles and financial stresses just like everyone else! Please do not think for a second that we have a perfect life. We like to consider ourselves perfectly imperfect!
